Welcome to Barbecue Outdoor Grills

When I was growing up, we spent many a Sunday grilling steaks or hamburgers on our backyard charcoal grill. In those days there was a limited choice in grills, but we enjoyed every minute of the time we spent together as a family.

Now there are so many types, makes and models of grills that it is difficult to know which one to choose. I created this site to hopefully make it easier for you to decide which outdoor barbeque grill you want for your grilling pleasure.

You will find some of the best deals and best products we could locate as we scoured the ‘net. Whenever a product comes along that gets great reviews, we will share it with you! Feel free to jump right in by clicking the links above or on the sidebar. ~ Gail

Amazon review – Grilling really can’t get much easier than this. Outdoor Gas Grills – The Obvious Choice?

Summer is just around the corner and you’re in the market for a barbecue grill to help you enjoy those hazy, lazy days. The good news, and the bad news, is you have a lot of different types of grills to choose from.  How do you decide what outdoor gas grill  is right for you? Don’t sweat it. This article is Decision Making 101 when it comes to selecting that perfect barbecue machine that will help cement your reputation as the Grill Master of your domain.

Charcoal or no charcoal

The first thing to decide is charcoal or no charcoal. The charcoal grill has many advocates and its list of defenders is long. The problem with charcoal grills is that they need charcoal to work. Charcoal that is heavy. Charcoal that is messy. Charcoal that you never have enough of just when you’re ready to grill.

Even if you do have enough of everything you need to get the fire going, you still have to wait for the coals to get hot, you have to move the coals around if you’re cooking more than one thing at a time and after you’re done what have you got? A grill full of ashes. Read the rest of this entry »

Grilling Chicken – Barbecue the Best Bird!

In our old neighborhood, the one sure sign that the weather was getting warmer and that summer was right around the corner was the sight and smell of barbecued food. You could be sure on the first nice day of spring the local stores would see a run on charcoal briquettes and hamburgers, steaks, and chickens; the guy next door was cleaning off his grill and bringing out the patio furniture, and the whole neighborhood would begin to fill with the delectable smell of barbecue.

One of the perennial favorites for barbecue cooking was chicken and why not? Grilling chicken is easy, it’s versatile and it’s good for you to boot!

When grilling chicken, the first thing to remember is food safety. Raw chicken can contain many food pathogens that can make you and your family very sick, so it’s important to follow a few simple rules. Read the rest of this entry »

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Sportsman’s Charcoal Grill

Amazon review – Made with durable, even-heating cast iron, this rugged, charcoal, hibachi-style grill works great for picnics, tailgating, car camping, or anywhere a self-contained outdoor cooking source is needed. The unit’s cooking grate is also made of cast iron–a treasured cooking material that heats slowly yet retains its heat for long periods of time, making it far more efficient than aluminum or steel grates. The grill’s cooking surface measures 17-1/4 by 9 inches and comes seasoned and ready to use. Easily temper the cooking speed of food by rotating the grate away from the heat source. The grill has two adjustable heights, along with a draft door that regulates the heat–so in addition to frying or grilling, the unit can warm a pot of coffee or chili. Coals are accessible behind a flip-down door. Other convenient features include  more
